SAN DIEGO (Feb. 23, 2018) Rear Adm. Paul Pearigen, Commander, Navy Medicine West and chief of the Navy Medical Corps (right), interacts with Cdr. Kyle Hinds, a Navy Nurse Corps Officer assigned to the Medical Treatment Facility aboard the USNS Mercy (T-AH 19), minutes before the ship’s departure in support of Pacific Partnership 2018 — the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific Region. Pearigen spent the morning interacting with Sailors and family members as he toured the ship prior to its departure.
