The trees of the garden presentmasses of golden-brown tones which are reflected in the deep blue water thatreaches to the foreground. Toward greenish-blue mooring posts, groupednear the landing, a black-hooded gondola is approaching. Two passengers arevisible, one of them being distinguished by a while headdress and a scarletcloak. Another gondola, with a yq<\ light attached to the front of its hood, iscrossing to the right, cleaving the dripping reflections of a waning moon thathangs in gray vapor over the brown shore of the Lido.
