House building exterior facade with antique windows and balconies. Architect Gino Coppedè. Art Deco style. Rome, Italy EU. Close up, low angle view.

Coppedè is the secret, bizarre and elaborate neighbourhood of Rome. - It’s one of Rome’s architectural gems (little known by tourists) named after the Florentine architect who designed it, Gino Coppedè, as he was commissioned to design a residential complex in the Parioli section of Rome. Coppedè worked in Rome on a series of buildings in the Art Nouveau style, starting in 1917, forming what would later be known as the Quartiere Coppedè.
