The Hot Springs, about twentyin number, issue from the base of a hill or spur of the WarmSpring Mountain, and range in temperature from 98° to 106°, but,owing to the proximity of fountains of cold water at 53°, bathsof any intermediate temperature may be had. The bathing-housesare numerous and well arranged to suit the purposes of waters are chiefly celebrated for their efficacy in rheuma-tism, dyspepsia, and affections of the liver, although they are re-sorted to by all classes of invalids.
