A German hunting hanger with carved ivory grip, circa 1800 Double-edged blade of hexagonal cross-section. The root with slightly faded bluing and gilt etching. Silver quillons decorated with a floral relief, with sculpturally carved ivory grip (late 17th century) in the form of a standing bear attacked by three hounds.
