All the specimens studied were from the Brookvale locality. Description. The species has been described in detail by Wade (1935 : 49-57) and a full description will not be repeated here. However, there are several differences between Wade's restoration of the species and that given here, and these are noted in the description below. Size (Fig. 43). The body shape is similar to that of Cleithrolepidina extoni (see Fig. 40); however, the head, as noted by Wade, is significantly larger than in C. extoni. Skull (Fig. 44). The frontal is long and somewhat deeper than in C. extoni. The supraorbital sensory canal does not appear to extend onto the parietal.
