After Dr. Bryants death. Dr. Shaw in 1824 removed toPlainfield and commenced practice. His wife deceasedDec. 12, 1824, of consumption. She diedSept. 37, 1X08. Dr. Shaw at first lived in the house latelyre-modeled by Wm. Winslow. In 1833 he built the housewhich he occupied during the remainder of his life, andwhich is still owned by his daughters, who occupy it dur-ing the summer and fall months.
