Studio pix of the Delta Wing Nissan will be manufacturing the turbo litre engine to go into the Delta Wing racing car a project 56 car at this years Le Mans 24 hour race. The car's radically aerodynamic dart like design with narrow unique tyres produced by Michellin means that with a smaller engine it will burn half the fuel of the other conventional cars but maintain if not exceed their performance . With it's combination of high performance and drastically reduced fuel consumption a successful run at Le Mans could mean that other race cars and even road cars could adopt many of it's characteristics - the next phase in the development of petrol automobile history.
