Mr. Edward Cannon, director of the Fleet & Family Readiness Program, receives the Distinguished Civil Service Award from Vice Adm. Yancy B. Lindsey, Commander, Navy Installations Command, at a retirement ceremony inside the Navy Museum at the historic Washington Navy Yard, , July 21. In his 39 years of service, Cannon began his Navy career as a snack bar operator and recreation aid, retiring as a senior executive service civilian member.
