Co., but we were consider- ably surprised to see, in the large car- nation section, the same plants that did such good duty at Christmas and Easter still in full crop and looking the picture of health and vigor. Over 100,000 flow- ers were cut for Memorial day trade and even at that every flower was sold and many thousands are still being cut daily. Victory is the favorite red here and it is in excellent order, the plants in the best of health as indeed all varie- ties grown here are. Prosperity is just at its best now, grand, long-stemmed ilowers of fine color, and the plants look like going on for months. Winsor s being largely planted and looks un- commonly well, the plants healthy and vigorous and the benches very even. Beacon again is another novelty that looks extremely well the plants taking i good hold of already. Plant- ing of all the popular sorts is going on rapidly and the plants look exceptionally well The present season has been a record one for chrysanthemum plant and cut- ing sales, about 800,000 of these having been propagated and sold.
