A German figurine of Icarus,dated 1938 Cast bronze,lacquered dark green(minimally rubbed),an erect figure designed in the modern style with widespread raised wings on his arms. It comes on a spherical shaped stone base in matching colour with a silver plaque engraved "Unserm scheidenden Komp. - Chef, 7/14,Gütersloh "("To our departing Company Commander - the officers 7/14 at Gütersloh 1 July 1938").
