A silver-plated Indian battle axe, Gujarat, 19th century Heavy blade with a quadrangular hammer head. Except for the crescent-shaped edge, the entire surface of the blade is silver-plated and gilt. Gilt copper helve surrounded with embossed floral decoration and a grip set off by a baluster. Edge somewhat pitted. Silver plating has minor defects.
