Dismantling satellite dishes at Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station, Cornwall

These dishes send and receive signals from ships in distress at sea. The signal comes in via satellite and automatically gets sent to the coast guard. They also deal with systems used on aircraft in flight. It means that from the comfort of your aeroplane seat you can call anybody any where in the world. Unfortunately, however, these dishes are soon to be dismantled.
