Complicated borderline between Belgium and the Netherlands depicted in the commemorative plaque devoted to the Treaty of Maastricht and placed directly on the borderline in the town of Baarle-Nassau in the Netherlands. Two dozens small and large Belgian enclaves are surrounded by the Dutch territory here. The Belgian part of the town is known as Baarle-Hertog. The Treaty of Maastricht signed on 8 August 1843 established the border between Belgium and the Netherlands.
