The present Report is supplementary to the one which was published by the Legislaturein the year 1874, which was exclusively concerned with the organic remains of the Devonianrocks. This, on the other hand, is a record of the collections which I made during thesummer of 1874 from the Silurian Rocks of the Province. I have also carried out somefurther investigations in connection with the Devonian Series, an account of which is ap-pended at the close of the Report.
