The letter is written on ruled paper folded in half vertically to form four pages. The envelope has a preprinted return address for Reverend Nelson Jordan of Shilo Baptist Church in the upper left recto corner. A two-cent red postage stamp is adhered in the recto upper right corner with a post office stamp partially over it. A second post office stamp is on the verso center bottom.
