Scene from PIsa, Italy

The campanile (bell tower), commonly known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, was built starting in 1173. Weak subsoil caused the tower to begin leaning well before it was completed. Efforts through the centuries have stabilized it. The most recent work, completed in 2010, reduced its lean to about 4 degrees. Pisa, Italy.
