The annual Wassail took part at the Deans Court Estate of Sir William and Lady Hanham. Banging on the door of Deans Court manor house. Sir William and Lady Hanham with those attending walk in procession to the front lawn. Here the wassail, drinking from the wassail pot and singing occurs. Promoting a good harvest for the cider apple trees and scare away the evil sprits, the ceremony is accompained by performance and banging of pans.
