While waiting for the Ferry at BC's Horseshoe Bay ferry dock we thought it would be best to take advantage of the beauty of the village. There was a slight breeze that blew but not enough to disturb the resting waters. We could see the reflection of the mountains through the water and more mountains in the horizon that were slightly covered by clouds. At this place of natural beauty the matter of the long ferry wait seemed insignificant. According to : BC Ferries is the most popular way for people to get off and on Vancouver Island. BC Ferries has two terminals that offer Vancouver Island ferry service: Horseshoe Bay and Tsawwassen. Horseshoe Bay is located in West Vancouver and most people find it the best option to get to the central Vancouver Island region due to easy access from Trans Canada Highway 1 and because it's a short hour sailing to the Nanaimo ferry terminal at Departure Bay.
