All moral rights asserted. Alteration, cropping or any derogatory treatment forbidden Ovulation. Artwork of the female reproductive organs. An egg (or ovum) has been released from a Graafian follicle (red and yellow) in the ovary (grey, foreground). Every month an egg is released from one of the ovaries. Adjacent to each ovary is a fallopian tube (right), which carries the egg to the uterus, and in which fertilisation may occur. The uterus (pink organ in the background, cut away to show cervix and vagina) is a hollow muscular organ in which the fertilised egg implants and grows into a foetus. If the egg is unfertilized it will pass out of the uterus via the vagina. ***ALL MORAL RIGHTS ASSERTED. ALTERATION CROPPING OR ANY DEROGATORY TREATMENT FORBIDDEN ***
