Army Capt. Jeffrey Shealy was recognized as the newest chaplain for the South Carolina National Guard at the Adjutant General Building in Columbia, South Carolina, Feb. 9, 2017. Shealy was sworn in by Army Brig. Gen. R. Van McCarty, Assistant Adjutant General – Army for the South Carolina National Guard, and Army Col. Robert Bailes, Senior Army Advisor to South Carolina National Guard, administered the Oath of Office. Shealy will serve as the chaplain for the 351st Aviation Support Battalion.
