Some of them separate from the flaps,which represent the auriculo-ventricular valves, and formmuscle bundles which may fuse throughout their entirelength with the more compact portions of the ventricularwalls, or else may be attached only by their ends, form-ing loops; these two varieties of muscle bundles constitute.
