Elephant keeper washes elephant Chand Nuan at the Friends of the Asian Elephant hospital. The Friends of the Asian Elephant hospital, in northern Thailand, is the first elephant hospital in the world. Since 1993 it has treated elephants with ailments ranging from eye infections to landmine injuries.
