The genus Rosa incorporates over hundred species of different roses and thousands of cultivated forms that vary in size and coloration. Most species derived from Asia. Roses are amongst the most cultivated flowers that are widely appreciated as valuable gifts and to express emotions. They are also used for perfume production. A single red rose as a gift is to say "I love you".
