Leal Prado and his wife Eline Prado. Brazilian scientists Jose Leal Prado (1918-1987) and Eline S. Prado (1921-2007) are photographed here carrying out research on a Fulbright scholarship, working at the National Heart Institute in the USA. They are working on a wasp-milking project. They later worked at the Department of Biochemistry, Federal University of Sao Paulo. Mrs Prado (Dr Eline) helped in the purification of the drug bradykinin when it was discovered in 1948 in Brazil.
