Margrys text,however, says nothing of oranges, which are thought to datefrom a later regime.^ Bienville was to ask for a fief on Pearl River to bear hisname, and get Horn Island instead in socage tenure.^ Thedesire to perpetuate his name was not unnatural, but he wasas unsuccessful as his older brother.
