MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Feb. 05, 2014) - Operations Specialist Seaman Recruit Allen Jewell uses the Voyage Management System (VMS) to monitor the ships position during a ballistic missile defense exercise in the combat information center aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55). Stout, homeported in Norfolk, Va., is on a scheduled deployment supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 6th Fleet area of operation.
