The Diamond and Old Man Peak, part of the Medicine Bow massif, are seen behind a honeycombed rock on Libby Flats along Highway 130 in Wyoming.

Libby Flats, along the Snowy Range scenic byway, in Wyoming, is a great place to hike, fish and sightsee. The area contains stromatolites, some of the oldest fossils on earth, along with cold, clear lakes, sharp peaks and cliffs, and abundant wildlife. The Libby Flats Observation Site was built to look like a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) project, although it's not. This image was taken near the base of the Observation Tower. Nearby is a plaque commemorating the airplane crash that happened in 1955, killing all 66 people on board.
