Rear Adm. Tim Weber, commander, Naval Medical Forces Pacific, talks with a researcher during a visit to Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio (NAMRU-SA), May 19. Scientists at the lab are developing innovative wound dressings that can be loaded with different medications, depending on the wound being treated, to prevent infection and promote healing. Weber, who has oversight of Navy Medicine's eight medical research labs, was at NAMRU-SA for their change of command and to learn more about the research being conducted to improve the health, readiness, and survivability of warfighters.
