This industry is carried onby the packing houses, and has grown to very large propor-tions. A large factory has recently been erected in Fresno whichIs entirely devoted to manufacturing by-products from the re-fuse and waste of the packing houses and wineries. Even theraisin seeds are utilized. The wineries of Fresno are amongthe finest and largest in the country. There are thirteenlarge wineries in the County, producing annually over $1,000,-000 worth of wine and $250,000worth of brandy.
