Cerebral arteriovenous malformation. Series of sixteen coloured X-rays of the skull and brain of a 32-year-old woman who has an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in her brain. An AVM is an abnormal blood vessel arrangement. This AVM is present in the brain's parietal area in the region supplied by the left internal carotid artery. A contrast medium (bright) has been used to highlight the AVM. This series of X-rays runs from top left to bottom right, with the brain rotating as the series progresses.
