An F-16CM Fighting Falcon from the 20th Fighter Wing, Shaw Air Force Base, , is prepared for an afternoon training mission over the Gulf of Mexico Dec. 14, 2016. Shaw deployed 16 F-16s to Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., to participate in the 2016 Checkered Flag 17-1, a large scale aerial total force integration exercise.
