During the year we have had our share of college have president and vice-president of the Senior Class, presi-dent of the Freshman Class, and treasurer of the Junior Class,captain of one of the companies, two lieutenants, a sergeant, andtwo corporals; treasurer of the Athletic Association, assistantmanager of the base-ball team, vice-president of the GermanClub, two editors of the College Annual, and two editors of theCollege Magazine, besides several other honors of minor import-ance. Eta Beta is also to furnish the class valedictorian this o ^£ H. CHAPTER LETTERS. 75 year, your correspondent having been notified recently that hehas succeeded to that position. We do not mention these honorsin a boastful way, but only to show our sister Chapters how westand. We were very sorry that we could not be represented at theConclave. Military discipline prevented it. The base-ball season has come and is almost gone, and,although we have not been so successful as usual, our victoriesover Georgetown and University of North Carolina compensatefor many of the defeats we have met. Eta Beta recently enjoyed the hospitality of the local Chap-ter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at their annual ball. It wasa delightful occasion, and will not be soon forgotten. Eta Betagives her initial ball May 30 th, and invites all the brothers to bepresent. We extend a welcome hand to our new sister at Washing-ton and Lee. We wish her the greatest of success.
