Tylosaurus aquatic reptile from the Cretaceous period.


Tylosaurus, a sea going ancient relative to monitor lizards. A giant mosasaur that prowled the Western Interior Seaway that was a shallow sea dividing North America in half during much of the Cretaceous period. Tylosaurus proriger is estimated to have reached lengths of 46 feet.
