Historical church. Basilica S. Vittore (IX C.), Arsago Seprio, Italy


The Basilica of San Vittore (IX century) and the nearby baptistery (12th century) form a monumental complex in Romanesque style among the most important in Lombardy, in northern Italy. The complex is also called "Il Piccolo Campo dei Miracoli (The Little Field of Miracles)" because it reminds the complex of Pisa. Arsago Seprio is a small city in northern Italy, province of Varese, famous for the church and the baptistery of the photo and for relevant archaeological remains of a Longobard necropolis. In Arsago there is a museum that houses the archaeological collection, which covers a period from the Bronze Age to the Renaissance, and a paleontological collection, to which a specific section has recently been dedicated. Arsago seprio is also known in the international sporting world as the site of World motocross championships of the years 1980 – 90
