Col. James DeVere, 302nd Airlift Wing commander, presents Col. Jeffrey Higgins with a retirement certificate during his retirement ceremony May 6, 2017, at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Higgins retired from the 302nd Maintenance Group commander position where he led approximately 400 Citizen Airmen. During Higgins’ nearly 30-year Air Force career, he served in aircraft maintenance, logistics readiness and acquisition career fields.
