Red Spider Planetary Nebula. Optical image of the two-lobed symmetrical planetary nebula NGC 6537. It consists of one of the hottest known white dwarf stars (at centre). Winds emanating from the central star have been measured in excess of 1000 kilometres per second. It is about 4000 light years from Earth. Photographed by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope in 2001.
