We have called special attention in the past to this valuable cabbage, but the favor with which it has been received and the real merit which it possesses leads us to give it still more honorable mention this year. There are many valuable strains of cabbage, but we have yet to find one more thoroughly adapted for general cultui'e, or one that combines more good qual- ities than our Chicago Market Garden Cabbage; a trial of this will prove satisfactory. If planted early, it develops fine, large, edible heads, about one week later than the Wakefield; while a late sowing insures, in due time, a crop of the finest winter cabbages possible to be conceived of. For " wintering over" sowings should be made about tM'o weeks later than the early sorts, when handsome, sound, solid heads, free from early cracking will be the result. We recommend this for size and solidity of head, as well as for its remarkable keeping qualities. Pkt., 10c; oz., 50c; MB)., $; fi>., $ SUGC£SSION.
