Both died in Thompson, thefather August 8, 1862, at the age of fifty-four years,the mother January 29, 1882, aged sixty-nine, andtheir remains were interred in Jackson were faithful members of the MethodistEpiscopal Church, and highly respected by all whoknew them. In their family were eight children,namely: Norman, Freeman and Dayton, who alldied in Thompson; Sarah, wife of Silas Gelatt, aretired citizen of Lanesboro, Susquehanna county;Oscar, a farmer of Jackson, Penn.; Ladorna, wifeof our subject; Adelbert, who died in Ararat town-ship, Susquehanna county; and Emerson, a farmerof Thompson.
