A pair of flintlock pistols, Nicolas Noel Boutet, Manufacture de Versailles, circa 1800. Lightly swamped octagonal barrels with dovetailed iron front sights, patent breechblocks and microgroove rifling in 13 mm calibre. The tops of the barrels are richly inlaid with gold stars and vase shaped decorations on a fine matt background. Three marks stamped on each chamber, "BG", "LG", and "NB" for Nicolas Boutet (Stöckel, no. 95). Cut flintlocks with fine floral engraving, frizzens on rollers, and gold-plated pans.
