(a) May-hill Sandstone, 200 feet thick, containing castsof P. oblongus, P. leus, Strephomena, Orthocerus, &c. (b) Woolhope shales and limestone. This limestone isgrey and somewhat crystalline, and its fossils are veryabundant. Among them are Atrypa hemispherica,A. reticularis, Ortlin, Illaenus, Encrinurus, &c.
