None of the interurban cars has been de-signed to carry on anything but a strictly passenger busi-ness, and all have smoking compartments in the front. The heaviest interurban car owned by the company is thetype belonging originally to the Detroit & NorthwesternRailway. This car weighs about 33 tons loaded, is 51 all, with 40-ft. body. The width is 8 ft. 9 in. Thesecars seat nineteen in the smoking compartment, and thirtyin the rear compartment, and have closet, hot water heaterand drinking water tank in the left-hand rear corner.
