Cumbria Lake Windermere 27th May 2018 Fire in car ferry engine room . 80 people where evacuated .HM Coastguard was called at 12:45 BST Hawkshead Ferry stranded on Windermere .The chain ferry was carrying 81 people, 15 cars & eight bicycles,.Two people reported minor injuries. Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service, received reports of a small fire in the engine room of the ferry.
