GRAFENWOEHR, Germany - Grenade! Army European Best Warrior competitor 1st Lt. MacClean Lalor, 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Vicenza, Italy, throws a grenade during the grenade range portion of the competition. Twenty-two Soldiers, noncommissioned officers, warrant officers and officers from units across the European theater and Army Africa converged August 20 - 25 to compete in Army Europe’s 2017 Best Warrior Competition, in Grafenwoehr, Germany, where they faced a five-day barrage of mental, physical, and tactical trials to test their skills and resiliency.
