He remained on thehome farm until his marriage, in 1818, to MissSally Wilmarth, daughter of Thomas and Sarah(Perry) Wilmarth, who in 1801 migrated from At-tleboro Mass., to Susquehanna county, Penn., andin Harford township remained through life. SarahPerry was a cousin of Commodore Perrv hero ofthe battle of Lake Erie, and a descendantof CaptFerry, who came to America in the Mayflower.
