The mov-ing coils are mount-ed as usual withtheir springs fastened to a fixed frame. The field coils,however, are manually revolvable by a button at the topof the instrument. A secondary pointer is attached tothe field coils and by holding this pointer over the indi-cating pointer, the field coils are kept at right angles tothe moving coils with any reading of the meter.
