A deluxe sword for a Lieutenant, in the Emperor Alexander Grenadier Guard Regiment No. 1 Double-edged Damascus blade with fullers on the upper half partly covered with decorative gilded etching (worn by cleaning), and inscribed "M. Neumann Berlin" on one side of the ricasso, and "Dasmaststahl Eisenhauer" on the other. The knuckle-bow hilt has remnants of gilding and leaf decoration in relief. Double shell-guard engraved "1st Lieut. Ernst Kurts" with the regimental cipher "AI" under a Tsar's crown, and "Andenken der 4. Comp. 1. Garde Grenadier Landwehr Regiments,
