As the fertile intervales of Bethel are reached, Loch ^xi? untain rises on the left, while on the right are the ledges Hawk. Bethel, Maine, is a pleasant and attractiveold village on the Androscoggin River (icxxi (eetabove the sea.) On account of its elevationabove the intervales, it is sometimes calletl HethelHill.
