Shelley Manor was recently sold by the Borough Council to the Charles Higgins Partnership to house two new medical surgeries and build 14 flats. Within the building is the Shelley Theatre, a grade two listed building, which has been safeguarded from development, by The 'Friends of Shelley Manor,' a local residents' group. They hope to raise enough funds to restore the theatre at the heart of the building; create a museum and literary library - themed on the Shelley Family, for the public.
