A Winchester mod. 1866 Rifle, Third Model, with factory engraving, RF, no. 27575, production year: 1871. Octagonal 24"-barrel, bore somewhat rough. On upper side slightly rubbed off two-line standard inscription. Brass action case with vine engraving, serial no. on lower tang beneath repeating lever. Walnut forearm and butt with brass mountings, butt cap also modestly engraved. Iron parts rubbed, in a slight patina and lightly spotted in places. Length 112 cm.
